Attention!! Our arena rental fee structure has changed as of November 1, 2025!!
Our indoor rental fee structure has changed, we no longer have a different rate for Saturdays and Sundays. Our new rates are as follows: Monday – Sunday: 2am-6pm $25/hour Monday – Sunday: 6pm-2am $40/hour

ATTENTION MEMBERS!!
Our new year has begun and memberships have expired as of October 31,2025 if you have not done so yet please go to our website and fill out a membership form and submit payment to ensure you can keep using the facility. Also our rental hours and fees have changed slightly please see below: Monday – Sunday 2am-6pm = $25/hour 6pm-2am = $40/hour

General Policies
Please review our policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone
ALL riders must have a current membership
The Magrath Ag Society is a PREPAID facility - pay via e-transfer or drop box before use
Cancellation Policy: 24+ hours notice required, no fee. Renter responsible for all cancellations including weather
NO Dogs allowed in either arena unless rented. Dogs must be on leash or tied at truck/trailer
Arena Manager reserves the right to ask anyone to leave who is not following rules
Indoor/Outdoor arena must be rented for use
Use of animals other than horses requires area rental
No sick animals permitted
All membership forms and boarding contracts must be completed prior to use
The member renting the arena is responsible for full payment. Cost sharing is renter's responsibility
Rental time includes setup and takedown - plan accordingly

The Magrath Ag Society is located in Magrath, Alberta, at GPS coordinates 49.3961635, -112.8784066. We serve Magrath, Cardston County, the Lethbridge area, and southern Alberta.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
You can request a booking by submitting the Event Booking or Kitchen & Foyer Rental form on our website, or by calling us at (403) 634-5565. All facility rentals require a completed and signed rental agreement, available as a PDF download in the Rates & Forms section.
Yes — all riders using the facility must complete a Riding Membership application and an associated Waiver of Liability. Both forms are available on our website.
Yes. We offer both equine boarding and livestock boarding. Each requires a signed boarding contract, which you can submit directly through our website.

Scholarship Program
The Magrath & District Agricultural Society proudly supports the next generation of our community by offering post-secondary scholarships to eligible students who give back through volunteerism.
General Scholarship
Three (3) awards for any post-secondary field of study.
Larry Nelson Memorial
One (1) award for students pursuing Agriculture or Ag-related studies.
Eligibility
- Enrolled or commencing in an accredited post-secondary program
- Live within the Magrath & District Ag Society boundaries
- Member of the Magrath Ag Society (student or family riding membership)
- At least 5 volunteer hours in the past year at Ag Society events
- 25 years of age or younger
How to Apply
- Submit an essay of at least 300 words titled "Why I Volunteer."
- Provide proof of post-secondary enrollment
- Provide proof of Ag Society membership
- Document your volunteer hours
- Applicants may receive one scholarship from the Ag Society
